How to Effectively Improve Dark Circles

Dark circles are popular in both men and women, under the lower eyelids. Sometimes they are accompanied by bags which make you look older. The dark circles are most commonly found in elders, those with a genetic predisposition, and those with pigmentation irregularities. They are challenging to get rid of them permanently. Nevertheless, here are effective ways to improve dark circles.

1. Use of Cucumbers

Cucumbers have skin-lightening and mild astringent properties. You can use them in sliced-form to fix raccoon eyes naturally. This method will work effectively if applied twice a day. Chop the cucumber into thick slices and refrigerate for half an hour. Place the cold slices on your eyes for ten minutes. Then, rinse your eyes area with warm water.

2. Use Caffeinated Tea Bags

Caffeine constricts blood vessels and reduces their appearance on the skin surface. It also speeds up blood flow across blood vessels around the eyes and gives a youthful and fresh appearance to the skin. Teabags are used when cold as a compress. Soak them in clean water and refrigerate for half an hour. Place them on your eyes for ten minutes twice a day. Then rinse the eyes area with warm water.

3. Use Coconut Oil

Coconut oil contains a high concentration of fatty acids in the small chains. The fatty acids can minimize inflammation and improve circulation in the blood. It is best to use coconut oil at night before you retire to bed. Massage under each eye for at least 30 seconds with the cold-pressed virgin coconut oil. It could take a couple of weeks to start seeing the results.

4. Use Vitamin B and C Supplements

Some people may suffer from internal problems due to changing lifestyles that cause stress and fatigue, leading to dark circles. Apart from incorporating yoga and meditation to lessen stress, you can take vitamin B and C supplements. The vitamin repairs and improves your skin texture. Sources of vitamins include lemons, kiwi fruits, apricots, and melons.

5. Use Turmeric

Turmeric is antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, making it fantastic skincare. Put a few drops on the face and around the eyes. It is also good to use it as a face mask. Rub the drops directly onto your skin and leave it on for a few minutes. Then, rinse off with look-warm water.

Typically, everyone would love to keep their eyes looking bright, youthful, and well-rested. However, you may not be able to eliminate the dark circles. All is not lost; you can use the above methods to minimize their appearance effectively. Do it often and add a touch of cosmetics; it will help you look brighter.
